In short, after all this time going through these examples, I am reminded of true freedom. Leaving home for the One Piece The Eras Tour Shirt and I will buy this summer after waking up and only coming home after the street lights came on when I was a kid. I remember riding my mongoose BMX bike until July 11 when I was 10, buying cigarettes for my mom and buying candy with spare change. Yes, I was selling cigarettes at 9 and 10 o’clock.
Things were different then. I miss a society that wasn’t so tense and politically correct about everything. You can relax and do things without being offended by anyone or feeling like you’re invading their safe space. I had to confront the One Piece The Eras Tour Shirt and I will buy this school bully on the playground or give him lunch money. I ended up fighting him and I didn’t win but he knew I wouldn’t accept it and he had to go through the process of fighting me because the simple intimidation wouldn’t work anymore. And he even left me alone. It was riskier in many ways and there was certainly danger from potential kidnappers and rapists and all that back then, just like now. But the freedom as a child and a teenager back then was great. There is a limit to rudeness and consequences for misbehavior and missed turns etc but when we are away we can be ourselves and push our limits through trial and error. Some have been very successful and some of our choices have collapsed and burned, but we have found life without the enormous oversight of the government and the laws that are trying to protect them. from the consequences of decisions in everyday life.
