In the Everything Must Go Unisex and I love this 1970s, many schools stopped requiring semi-formal unless it was a big ball. yes, private schools have tried to comply with the dress code requirements. They started to change in the ’70s. In 1967, I worked for Andy Frain as the opener in Cubs games. At that time many elderly people still wore suits, many had no jackets but still wore white shirts and ties. Younger people don’t wear costumes, just plain clothes. So during the 1960s, everything changed.
Suits are designed to flatter a man’s figure – making shoulders look wider, waist and hips narrower, and making your entire body look longer (and therefore taller). (That means you’re wearing a tailored, tailored suit.) Let me put it another way: a vest is a no-workout, no-diet way to make a man look better. (But if you also exercise and pay attention to what you eat, think how great you will look!)
