I also have a neighbor who is a retired high school science teacher who wears socks and sandals. They are some of the best and most interesting people I know. What all these people have in common is that they are much smarter than I am. So maybe they’re on to something. Perhaps if more of us spent more time wearing what feels comfortable and less time worrying about fashion judgments, we would all be better off.

And in general, sometimes I wear sneakers without socks. It can make presumptuous people cringe when they see me do it. Sorry, but not sorry :). I don’t believe you should wear socks with any kind of sandals. That being said, I’ve seen a few people do it, but it comes down to personal choice. I don’t wear socks with sandals, but I don’t wear socks with shoes either.
